Bark River STS-5 Wilderness Knife Modifications for Snow Camping - Cocobolo Scales

The Bark River STS-5 is a tactical/fighting knife primarily. I'm planning on using it as a stainless steel (154CM steel) wilderness knife for snow camping. Everything gets wet no matter how you try to keep it dry. 1095 carbon might be a better choice, but I worry about rust. The scales are designed for fighting so I created a wilderness/survival/bushcraft version in cocobolo. I won't be snow camping for a couple of months but in the Fall, I expect backpacking in the rain may happen a few times. I also show a few items in my snow camping kit. I expect the Bark River STS-5 will do just fine in this role.
