My review of the classic historical knife, the K55K Cat, produced in Solingen Germany. It is said that this design dates back to the 1800s and became popular in America after WWII when GIs brought them back from Europe. For $20 you get an ultra thin and light folding lockback. This would be pretty perfect non-tactical EDC and the budget price and cool history are a bonus.

This intensive process takes more than 48 hours and involves slowly reducing the blade's temperature to less than -300 degrees Fahrenheit, then slowly heating the blade to room temperature.
